Manolo Blahnik is a Spanish designer who is credited with designing a stiletto heel while platform shoes were still the most common footwear. To date, he has designed over 25,000 different styles over his decades of work as a designer. He has won countless awards for his footwear and designs and believes "shoes transform a woman."

Manolo Blahnik makes flats, oxfords, booties, boots, and espadrilles, among other styles. Hand-crafted by the designer himself, some Manolo Blahnik pumps and sandals designs include:

• BB Pump: A solid-colored pump with the curvy Manolo Blahnik profile, straight stiletto heel, and pointed toe.
• Hangisi Pump: These pumps feature a square crystal-beaded accent atop a pointed toe. They typically feature a slim 4-1/4-inch heel.
• Swan Pump: Similar to the Hangisi shoe, these pumps feature a sinuous, crystal-beaded floral motif covering the more rounded toe. The heel on these pumps is slim and 4-inches in height.
• Campari Pump: These pumps feature a Mary Jane-style strap and pointed toe. These pumps have a 3-1/2-inch heel.
• Chaos Pump: These stilettos have one strap across the foot and another around the ankle. These sandals feature the signature Manolo Blahnik thin heel, and these are 3-inches high.

Manolo Blahnik does not use serial numbers, special tags, or other certifications of authenticity. Due to the designer’s popularity, many of his designs have been duplicated throughout the years. Here are a few things to check when ensuring the authenticity of the designer's pumps, sandals, flats, boots, and other shoes:

• Materials: Manolo Blahniks are composed of leather, velvet, satin, or Swarovski crystal ornaments. Fauz materials may suggest a different manufacturer.
• Construction: Manolo Blahnik pumps never jiggle, and the heel does not shift; they are always rigid. Ornaments are bound to backings, which are sewn on with microfilament, not glued or nailed.
• Label: The white and black Manolo Blahnik label is sewn into the instep of every pair of shoes, not glued on or printed. The one exception is an early version of the Carolyne sandals, which featured a blue and black sewn-in label.
• Outsole Stamp: The beige outsole of the shoe is stamped with the Manolo Blahnik name in capital letters. Some additional stamping may have the phrase “Handmade in Italy” or “Vero Cuoio,” verifying that they are made with leather from a particular leather guild in Italy.
