Good replacement for 1993 Whirlpool
This was an exact match for my Whirlpool fridge, which is 25 years old. Simple replacement. I did find after taking the old valve off, that I could have easily cleaned the screen in the old one to restore full water pressure to my water line on the dispenser. There was a bunch of rust particles blocking the valve in the screen.

Easy replacement
This valve is a direct replacement for the original one. Disconnect the water lines, remove wire connection, 2 screws off, install new valve and make connections.
