This is the story of a very poor, lame boy, who gets to accompany the Three Wise Men to visit the Christ Child in Bethlehem. I had previously been familiar with the story after sitting through the musical version, which I found to be rather tedious. The book is beautifully illustrated and presents both the good and bad aspects of the story in an easy to follow style. It leaves the reader with the warm feelings of inspiration and optimism that a good Christmas story provides.
