These are by far the best quality hole cutting drill bits I have ever owned or even ... These are by far the best quality hole cutting drill bits I have ever owned or even used in general. They cut so smoothly through practically any reasonably hard sheet of material with no cracks or even any chipping if you use them right. The abrasive doesn't seem to wear off, the bonding is good. To use them, just put a bit of a suitable lubricant on the edge (for metal you can use an oil like Tap Magic, while plastics and wood seem to do better by just drilling slightly into a bar of soap beforehand to get it on the edge). Then rev the drill to a high speed and touch the surface with the spinning edge of the hole saw bit at a very slight angle so that it begins to cut into the surface along just one edge. Once it has bitten in a bit, just straighten it out and keep the speed high and apply very little pressure. Let the tool do the work. It's very satisfying to use. If you are cutting into thick or very hard material then you can put more lubricant on it partway through. I noticed no 'grabbiness' at all, nothing like the usual sawblade-style hole saws with metal teeth. Just pure gradual abrasion. The pressure needed was so slight that the bit barely even popped through the holes I made, even when drilling sideways into a semi-flexible plastic sheet or the side of a container. Wonderful product. I hope they sell a million of these.
