These do work but it will take time. I have shrews here and thought there was only one but so far I have caught two. They haven't chewed on the inside like some of the other reviews said. I caught my first one in like a week. Was not sure if they would work and then bam I got one. It maybe the bait I tried cheese and then i changed it to peanut butter. Because it took some time i almost forgot about it but I did find it before it died and released it away from my place. I did try to use the trap door to release it and the thing almost ran into my sleeve and I dropped it on the ground along with the shrew but he ran off these are pretty durable. The second one I opened the bait part and let him go. So anyone trying to get rid of shrews this will work well.

These traps are your classic china made cheap product. Better off going to home depot and getting some name brand. Mouse took bait a few times before I decided to "fix" the trap. Spring on trap door too heavy, will not trigger with small mouse.

These are a very good product. Well made and they work like they should. I caught a mouse in both traps on the first night. Very easy to release them someplace other than in my house. I did add a weight to the fulcrum to make them more sensitive (I taped a penny to them) because some of the types of mice in my area are very small but I'm not sure it was necessary and I'm going to try them without the added weight. I'm going to be buying more of these

Have already used traps and have caught (and humanely released) two of our furry little squatters. The traps worked wonderfully. They are also pretty easy to clean. The instructions say to use peanut butter or cheese spread. Instead, we found our mice preferred discarded pie crust. They must have had a sweet tooth. (snicker)

Yes! I caught the little bugger within a couple hours of putting it out!! He escaped a little "holding" pen I put him in moments later, I re-set the trap, went to sleep, and he was right back in it! Great value. He is now "re-homed" in a luxury suite style cage we also found on eBay. I feel bad for the guy, having taken him out of his wild state, but he proved too destructive to the home. I think this was the perfect way to handle him, as we were able to catch him in a humane way and then transfer him to a safe and comfortable new cage where he has gone from pest to pet.
