I bought this DVD because I am a huge fan of blues rock thanks to Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Robert Johnson, Muddy waters, and Eric Clapton just to name a few. I knew I wanted to learn how to play like that but had no idea where to begin and this DVD DEFINITELY got me going in the right direction. The steps were obviously thought out as to what would make the most sense to a beginner. Andy Aledort is certainly one of the foremost instructors out there and I can't imagine anyone better for blues. If I had to change anything about this DVD I would like to have seen a complementing guide or booklet that showed the scales, finger positions, and tab for what was being played on the DVD. It would have made it a lot easier than having to pause the DVD or play it in slow mo to figure out what notes are being played. Other than that I HIGHLY recommend this DVD for any beginner. I've had this DVD for two weeks and I am already playing things I thought would be years down the road.Read full review
I totally do not recommend this dvd,it was a waste of money.Their examples of the blues guitar is totally pre kinder. If you like guitar I recommend Metal metod with Michael Angelo and some other instructors. They give you tab and slow versions so you can learn it at your own pase.
