Dawson's Creak takes a lot of flack but it's really such an incredible show about human emotion and experiences. Relationships are what drive forward the story, just like life. Yes, perhaps we don't speak with the big words written in the script, but I look at that as a form of poetry and artistic expression that adds to the charm of the show. Look past that, and you will find very human storytielling dealing directly and engagingly with issues most of us face. Many complain about the packaging...I have the version that comes in a photo book and have not had any issues with the disks. Sure , the original music would be nice, but I'd rather have the show on DVD with different music than not have it all. Dawson's Creek captures a really lovely innocence and simplicity and heart through the stories and characters. Ignore the stereotypes about teen drama and give it a chance. I've been meaning to buy the whole series for a while and when I saw this complete box set I bought it. It's a pretty neat set, cool packaging, bios, and trivia. The extra audio CD set was also an excellent touch. It's basically what you would get buying all the separate DVD sets at a decent price, maybe even lower if you look in the right places. The only thing I don't like too much is how the DVDs are packaged in the boxed set which is with a circular piece of paper. Other than that, it's a must have for fans who don't have all the seasons.
I am very excited to give this gift to my girlfriend. I'm impressed with the box set well worth the money.

My daughter was so into this show! She wanted to buy it but only found one or 2 seasons,at a time, so she gave up! I just bought the whole complete set, for her 22nd Birthday! It came in this Amazing book with pictures & all this info about the characters & the show! I've already watched a few disks & now I know why she was so hooked!
