Not as good as The Road Warrior but better than Beyond Thunderdome. Some slow spots but lots of action, with many spectacular vehicle stunts and crashes. There is even some romance this time. As usual, it looks like they cast this movie by recruiting actors from the weird part of town. The plot is rather preposterous, and takes a 180 degree turn toward the end. Still, an enjoyable experience that is worth the time that you invested in it.

Based on the reviews I read, I had high expectations for this movie, but it turned out to be very disappointing. The plot, if there was one, was lost amid the pyrotechnics, to the point, where you cared little about the main characters or what happen to them. I think the original, Mel Gibson entries were better on all counts, considering when they were made and with the lack the digital special effects today's movies incorporate. You were actually somewhat sympathetic to the characters against their adversaries. This movie is over the top and more like a video game than a movie. For awhile, I was trying to determine if Mad Max was the action hero that the movie was supposed to be about or his masculinized female counterpart. I'd say she got the star billing and he assisted her, instead of the other way round. It was a major yawn, which called for the eject button to put an end to this mindless adventure. Still curious why it received some good reviews........hmmm. I guess there is just no accounting for bad taste.Read full review

It seems as if the whole movie is a chase scene. Watching it I thought it was a carbon copy of the Thunderdomes chase scene. Villians, in similar vehicles, chasing the "good guys and gals" in similar vehicles. Lousy ending. The guy hero saved the gal hero through a blood transfusion and they don't end up together. She "nods" goodbye to him as he disappears into a crowd ****because the author probably wants to produce another mad max at some time in the future****

This is a 3D only review of Mad Max: Fury Road 3D blu ray (LG OLED65E6P). Great 3D! Loads of depth and jump-inducing popouts. Bright, vivid, crystal-clear picture. Fun action movie that's basically one long chase (not a bad thing!). Explosions, dirt clods, spears, lots of stuff flying around. Almost makes my list of top 3D blu rays (Hansel and Gretel, Thor Ragnarok, Guy Ritchie's King Arthur, Dr. Strange). Got this one used from a great seller. Five fun 3D stars!

I freakin' love this movie! It has a great cast, nonstop action, amazing practical effects and some of the craziest car builds I've ever seen! If that sounds good to you, buy Mad Max: Fury Road and you too will ride eternal on the highways of Valhalla, shiny and chrome!
