Easy to use. It's my second coverstitch machine and my favorite. The 3 needle machine gives you the option to use a narrow 2 needle stitch or a wide 2 needle stitch. You can sew the 5/8 inch fold over elastic on this machine, but be sure to give it an inch of elastic under the foot before you start to sew so the foot has something to hold onto. You can hold the thread at the beginning, but hold them at the left side, not the back. Releasing the thread at the end is very easy. The Janome machines have the pull out section to enable you to small items in the round. Easy to thread.
