The clear, crisp sound immerses you into the music and outdoors with the amazing speakers. The Bose quality we have come to know is simply at its best. The sound quality doesn’t fail to impress no matter where you are listening from. Deep rich tones and a an excellent balance of the left and right speakers makes you feel like your in the middle of a concert hall with sound coming from every direction.

The speakers are small, but efficient, and have a fairly natural sound. I wish that the sound would blend into the background a bit more, but that's asking a lot. I also think the mounting bracket could be better designed, but it works well enough. Finally, the connector posts look like they are at the standard width for banana plug pairs, but they are not. They are about two millimeters wider than the standard. As a consequence you can't use the standard banana plug connector pairs. This probably isn't that much of a fault because in most applications,, the connector would stick out too far and hit the mounting bracket anyway.

Speakers are typical Bose with respect to look and clarity, but due to their size they are thin when it comes to bass. Since I couldn't fit the 251s that had a better, fuller sound, I supplemented with Freespace 51s. The combo gives a great, full sound throughout the pool and deck area with the 151s providing the high end and the 51s filling in the bass. The 51s are hidden in flower beds and the 151s fit nicely under the house overhangs.
Wes so excited to get these ,have other Bose speakers love them and right out of the box one speaker crackled , returned them the second ones lasted 3 months same distortion and crackle sound , sent out for repairs they replaced all 6 driver due to defect, lasted one year , and same thing sent out for repairs repairs again! Where’s the Bose quality? Sound everywhere was amazing but little to no bass response , after 3 years sending out for a fourth repair and going to get rid of them , had a pair of low cost out door speakers lasted 18 yr.s always had better sound than these 151’s. really disappointed in Bose , must say the service for repairs is excellent tho , just wish I didn’t need to use it!!!

We have owned these speakers for several years. One of them just went out. That's not good, but it is several years old. So we bought a new set, using one to replace the one that went out and keeping one as a backup. We love the sound quality, and they pair well with our other Bose components.
