Read a lot about this lens. Ken Wheeler, the angry photographer, gave it a 10 out of 10. Lots of great reviews. Awesome price. So I had to get one. I can say this....it is a heavy lens. It has an excellent feel to it. The aperture ring is click less which is OK by me. Totally manual focusing. No communication with the camera. Very smooth rings function and has an almost perfect resistance to them. I am using a Fujifilm X-S10 camera and it works excellent with this camera. Being a manual focus lens, it requires some knowledge on how to use it. It will take just a little while if you are not used to a manual lens to get to the point of getting a perfect photo every time. But it will come with practice. Images are very sharp when you focus it correctly. Being a .095 lens, it works great in low light. It has great glass in it. Very heavy. Feels like a quality lens which it is. Bocca is boccalicious. Excellent blurring of backgrounds. Very smooth...no onion rings on highlights in the background. Images are very sharp if focus is achieved correctly. This is a lens to get when you want low light abilities or when you want to learn the functions of ISO, Fstop and Exposure time. This should be a first lens to get. Makes you learn your camera and it is just fun to use. Read full review

This is a manual focus, crop-sensor lens (Zhongyi 35mm Speedmaster f/0.95) that comes in mounts for Fuji, Sony, and Canon. Maybe ZYOptics will make it in Nikon Z someday. Mine is for Fuji (X-T2), and it's absolutely wonderful. Works great with focus peaking. As with my other Speedmaster lens - the 85mm - this one is built for fast shooting. It's amazingly sharp wide open with absolutely beautiful bokeh and saturation. The only drawback is the distortion, which you'll notice in certain types of shots like landscapes and buildings. I consider this lens a bargain for what you get.

great unique character in its rendering. reminds me a bit of the Nikon 58mm f/1.4 in look. Practice the manual focusing on your camera and it will get easier and easier to place the sharp zone where you want it - leaving those awesome transitions to out of focus zones... Glad I have the lens

This lens is a winner and produces amazing results with exceptional smooth background blur. It takes some practice to get it right though. The depth of field is very shallow wide open which produces only a thin slice of in focus area... Also remember this lens requires extra skill as it is manual focus only which may deter some. For myself this lens has many uses and I’m using it a lot with great results.

Great Lens. If you are a coming from a film background, and are use to manually focusing, it’s a great one to add to the Fuji bag. Really Fun and sharp. It gives a DOF that’s missing from the cropped sensor world. I don’t know if I would pay full price for one, but used market prices make it worth the buy.
