I had a vivoactive hr and the vivoactive 3 and wanted to upgrade to a Fenix series. I miss the touch screen a little bit but overall I"m very happy with the watch. It's beautiful and fits well on my wrist. I love the smart notifications, HR monitor, workout tracking and activities and of course the 12 day battery life.

I chose this watch based on a recommendation from my cousin. I’m an avid outdoorsman and previously had an older series Apple Watch that worked well but when it came time to upgrade this was the clear choice. I love the design. It’s much more rugged and stylish than my previous smart watch and offers more functionality. I love the gps and tracking features it offers and it accurately tracks my walks hikes and runs. It syncs perfectly with my iPhone and I’ve found it works well with other fitness based apps. I love the long battery life. I can usually get at least 5 days even with extensive hikes using gps. The garmin connect app works really well and is easy to use and navigate. I highly recommend this watch for anyone who enjoys the outdoors or wants a rugged stylish fitness tracker watch. This is a real multisport watch with a s...load of functions. It hence take some time to get used to all functions when doing various sports. However, I really like the watch and trust that the Garmin quality (had Garmin watches for 10 years) gives me a watch that will last for a long time

The Garmin Fenix 5 is a pretty incredible device. Fantastic functionality and customization. Could be a little more accurate (my old Suunto was a bit better), but the watches versatility balances that out. Only gripe is for this much money, it could, heck should, have a much sharper and brighter display. And would be great to have wireless charging, too. All in all, though, quite pleased with it. Had owned a Suunto Ambit 3 Peak (nice watch, just outdated), tried the Suunto Ultra (huge disappointment) and tried the Garmin Vivoactive 3 (cheaply made, to many issues and jacket functionality). Gstmin Connect app could use a major overhaul, too! Would recommend this watch to any outdoorsman, runner, cyclist, triathlete ... really almost any sport. Looking forward to next model.

Perfect multisport watch. The best I have ever had. Before I used Garmin Fenix, but Fenix 5 GPS is more accuracy and it has also a lot of applications
