No instructions, but the item close-up photos were very helpful. Paint chipped off in transit and the box was damaged but who cares? It will get beat up the first time it's used. I think it is very heavy duty and good quality for the price. There was only one minor issue with assembly. The spacer holding the upper hitch point supports apart was too large for the 1" hole in the diagonal support. Is it an isolated case? The company was very responsive about it - great communication. 5 stars. A++
