Perfect replacement
Perfect replacement wheels for my Craftsman self-propelled mower that is about 8+ years old. Use 9/16 wrench to remove and replace nut and you're good to go. Started mower and engaged self-propel bar and wheels turned without incident. Tread is nice and deep and should last a long time! Same depth as the back tires, which are original to my mower. Great quality! Won't be needing to replace them again for another 8+ years! You can clearly see the worn out tires and tread from the original wheels and the great looking new tires. Bad design
The good news is that these are the same as original equipment. The bad news is that they are a terrible design that will lose its inner driving teeth if the drive wheel gets wedged under a building's skirt of if you are mowing in rough terrain. I destroy 4 to 6 of these per year.. Who will make a metal version of this?

Really helped
These wheels almost give me a new mower. I have a steep, hilly yard and the plastic gears inside the wheels tend to wear out and the mower loses it's pulling power to get up the hills. With these new wheels it almost pulls ME up the hill! These wheels are the best tune up you can give your mower.

FWD wheels
Locally they wanted $27.50 apiece for the wheels, $20 a pair is a good deal. My mower has a slightly different design that uses a big hubcap but you can make this design work by changing the mount nut to one with a smaller washer. Grease the shafts and they will last far longer.
