Product was bought as a replacement for an OEM Liftmaster 877 max. Followed the ... Product was bought as a replacement for an OEM Liftmaster 877 max. Followed the pairing instructions with relative ease and within 5 minutes product was paired and installed. One item of note, my original OEM unit had two mounting holes, a second hole had to created in the unit. This involved making some small cut aways in the lower section of the unit (on the inside) to expose the fastener hole. I also sealed rear rim of unit to ensure no water entry after mounting from wall side.

Battery terminal was folded into the electronic board during assembly and I had to ... Battery terminal was folded into the electronic board during assembly and I had to unscrew and take apart the device in order to release the terminal. Although there are two screws that come with the device there is only one hole at the top of the device to screw the device To the wall. If you drill a hole and screw the device on the bottom the battery won’t fit in. I ended up having to glue the bottom of the device to the wall. The Device readily synced with the garage door opener however it takes several times of entering the code before the device will open Open the doors. Suggest you pay the extra $20 and purchase a genuine lift master control.
