I wanted a great sub to compliment my QSC K12's. The QSC KW181 is the best choice. They are loud and very clear. They give you a tight thumping bass that your looking for to complement the QSC K12's. They are so good i only need one for my medium sized events. These are by far the best sub's i have herd, and with the caster wheels it make moving them so easy. Love them and would highly recommend them to anyone looking of powered subs.

I owned one and this one makes 2. A matched pair. I needed it to serve my clients correctly. Although the product was packaged haphazardly, The shipping damage was able to be corrected satisfactorily by me. QSC does not make this speaker any longer and used ones in decent condition are getting harder to find at reasonable prices. It fits my needs.

I've got 8 KW181s now for our tour rig and just ordered 4 more. Our home rig already has a 12 sub setup with three double stacks per side. We put a KW153 directly on top of two inner stacks of the double stacks and two KLA12s on poles on the outside double stack on each side. That gives us six KW181s, two KW153s, and 2KL12s per side. We use eight KW122s as stage monitors. This is all controlled by an Allen & Heath GLD122 at home and a GLD80 on the road. With the for new KW181s for the road rig we will have exactly the same f.o.h. and stage monitor rig where ever we tour. Let me tell you, this rig will rock the house. We've filled 6,000 seat auditoriums and several 3+ acre out door festivals very nicely with it. When we get bigger venues out doors we add two array lifts with thre more KLA12s and two KLA181s flown about twenty feet up with two KW181s ground stacked directly below. The whole rig thoroughly filled a 12,000 seat football stadium. Clear as a bell with serious thump to furthest seats about 400 feet away. We looked at several other brands and QSC has the best warranty and top notch sound. Are the better sounding units out there? Yes. But ALL of them are considerably more expensive and none of them are any more reliable. With all of the traveling and all of the unpacking and repacking we have never had one failure. Would we buy them again? We just ordered four more. Would we recommend them? I just did.Read full review
