A small glitch, but still happy, good value
Actually, the VHF radio was dead on arrival, 12 V supply was shorted. After removing ... Actually, the VHF radio was dead on arrival, 12 V supply was shorted. After removing the circuit board, and re-installing it, problem disappeared. The radio works fine, very compact design. Used Chirp to program the radio for VHF Marine frequencies. I am well aware, that this radio does not have the ruggedized design for marine conditions; the mic uses plain indoor phone plugs, however protected by rubber boots. Some considerations are required when installing this radio in a boat. But price/performance is outstanding good! I am happy with this VHF Radio!
