No spring action
The atlatl is way to stiff. It is supposed to act like a spring and store energy. Instead I recommend it be used to beat your intended target to the ground as it is a CLUB

Carbon Express is an industry leader in archery equipment and this product is well engineered and tested. The atlatl is compact and the darts come apart in 3 pieces. Standard archery field points and broadheads can be screwed on. A fun way to practice primitive skills.

Solid product for reasonable price--carbon.
Kit has carbon strength, nice design/engineering of handle and light weight, flexibility and no rot/rust at a reasonable price. I bypass that velcro dart locator, however, with duct tape.
