I bought the "plugs into wall SEAFLO Industrial Water Pressure Pump - 115VAC, 3.3GPM, 45PSI" to supply water for a propane water heater. It is used for a DIY stock tank pool I built for the grandkids. The pump performs exactly as described and puts out an amazing flow for its size. It is quiet and operates flawlessly to date. I can't speak to the long-term yet. It is very east to install. The only thing I would prefer is if it had an on/off switch. The work around is to install a switched outlet or simply unplug the pump when not in use. I'm lazy, so I went with the outdoor remote controlled outlet like you might use to control outdoor lights. Great for aquarium cleaning.
I like all of the features of this pump. It was the only pump inthis price range with all of the features of this pump. I actually use the pump for cleaning aquariums. Using the traditional siphon method I was limited to the amount of vacuuming I could do by the amount of water I could take out of the aquarium. On the inlet side of the pump I attached a hose with the vacuum tube. On the outlet side I attached a valve to control flow, and made an attachment that hangs on the inside of the aquarium with a filter sock which returns the filtered water back to the aquarium. I can now vacuum as long as necessary to thoroughly clean the substrate. Using the traditional method of siphoning, it is only recommended to remove 25% of the water, which falls way short of cleaning the substrate. ... I like all of the features of this pump. It was the only pump inthis price range with all of the features of this pump. I actually use the pump for cleaning aquariums. In the middle of nowhere
