This was ordered, on my dime, for a school library, so the low price was critical. I had qualms about whether or not it would work with our library catalog system, but I figured it was worth a try. Our old scanners, which needed adapters to plug into a computer USB port, had died in the last school year. I need not have worried, as the scanner worked right out of the box, and has been performing as it should for a couple weeks. It's easy to use and is more reliable and quicker than typing in the five digits off the catalog tag.
