    A peek inside perfection

    The book is a beautiful pictorial of design and decor over a fifty year period in the last century. I love to escape into the world of the rich and famous. The book allows a peek inside both a fantasy and a reality. And nothing exemplifies exquisiteness like New York. The photos are beautiful and there is a nice mix of color and black/white photography.

    Good overviews.

    These books showcase intelligently chosen interior designers, and the photos of the rooms they created are satisfyingly large. However, the designers' individual styles are only briefly defined, in too-general terms, and the photo captions are short on information about the rooms' contents.
