Excellent sterilizer
I love this sterilizer. It is easy to clean, it runs silent, and it protects my tank from harmful bacteria and an abundance of algae. I recently had to separate out some aggressive fish from an existing tank and I had no extra tank to put them in. I ended up using the existing tank water and putting the fish in a somewhat small plastic container. I had no extra aquarium equipment except the mini green sterilizer which I had ordered by mistake. I put the sterilizer in the container with my fish and the heat generated from the bulb was enough to keep the fish comfortable and the filter helped clear their water. I do not recommend this method of keeping fish, but in this case, the sterilizer saved the day. It took me about a week to get another tank and associated equipment, but I ... I love this sterilizer. I was fighting a loosing battle with an algae bloom in my 15 gallon tank for about 2 months. Water tests were all good, I was not over feeding, and I was doing water changes as needed and the water would clear partially for a couple of days and go right back to being cloudy. I did a lot of reading about UV sterilizers and settled on the AA Green Killing Machine 3w. The price was decent. The machine was very simple to set up and I had it going within 5 minutes after getting out of the box. After 5 days the water in my aquarium was clearer than it had ever been. Only bad thing is the instructions it came with are terrible and there are no recommendations on how often and for how long the unit should run. Terrible
Product is terrible would not even make a dent in my 10 gallon tank. I even changed the water to see if it would maintain the clarity. I would definitely not recommend this product. I purchased 2 and am sending them back
