This Ergotron HX Monitor Arm is either edge mounted or bolts through. I used the edge mount, which is very robust and holds well. Has a great amount of adjustability for desk thickness. I like the ability to put the mount in place, followed by the lower arm. The upper arm can be mounted to the monitor, followed by placing the upper arm and monitor onto the lower arm. The tension adjustments allow for easy movement with a great range of monitor weights and sizes. I chose Ergotron as they offer a Heavy Duty Tilt Pivot, which is designed to support my 49" Ultrawide Samsung Odyssey G9. Another nice feature is that I am using the desk up against a wall. The mounts include a built in stop for the lower part of the arm, that stops it from rotating past the edge of the desk and hitting the wall. A nice feature which is much appreciated. My past arm lacked this, resulting in regular touchups with spackling compound to fix the dent, then paint. No longer necessary with the Ergotron HX Arm!Read full review
