    Excellent Addition to the Davis Vue for integrating with Weather Undergroundd

    I run this software in a Virtual Windows Station on my QNAP TS-453A NAS so that the Weatherlink software is on 100% of the time. This way I get minute by minute feeds to the Weather Underground (WU) website. I like WU because there is no monthly or annual fee other than for the Android or iPad apps to remove ads. Its very nice to keep the historical data on the station as well.

    DIDN'T WANT AND DON'T USE THE SOFTWARE. THE CABLE FROM THE UNIT TO THE PC WILL NOT STAY IN THE UNIT. HAS NO LOCKING MECH...........HOLD EVERYTHING JUST RIGHT AND LOT OF TAPE WILL MAKE THE UNIT WORK............. THIS IS A $40 PIECE OF EQUIPMENT..........ON THE HIGH SIDE. AS GOOD AS DAVIS EQUIPMENT IS OR REPORTED TO BE ......THIS IS A MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT.

    Works well but...

    There are several things that you should know: 1. It is over priced. For what it does and being proprietary, there is not many choices. 2. There is an insert about contacting Davis support to use it to post online live. Thankfully there is another way around this. 3. The directions are not that great in respect to setting it up for USB because you must say it is Serial. 4. It lacks documentation about charting and record creation etc.

    Excellent value - definitely worth adding to your weather station console.

    Works well - with effort

    Works great once installed. Instruction were less than adequate. I bought the USB version and after two phone calls to Davis ( good customer rep) and help from a friend, realized that it had to be installed as a serial port.
