  • James Joyce by Edna O'Brien (Penguin)

This wonderful biography is one of a concept series of biographies by Penguin; this series finds noted writers, historians & researchers to produce a brief biography about a noted author in a lighter style that reads like an extemporaneous lecture. This book was a delight to read; as a short work it gave an adequate background with which to appreciate the live and literary work(s) of a major writer. Highly recommended.
