If you saw the 3 part PBS series this past summer "Rare: The Photo Ark" on PBS showing how he traveled all over the world, and how many of these pictures were taken you have a hint how beautiful they are!!!! Includes the photo of the LAST male Northern white rhino left alive (at the time the photo was taken) on earth----named Sudan ---taken just two weeks before he died of illness from old age!!! There are ONLY TWO Northern white rhino now on the planet!!!! Both are aging females!!! The Photo Ark is intended specifically to be a permanent photo record of animal species, especially those who will be extinct (due to humans) or already are, so future human generations can see what they looked like. This is an extraordinary, beautiful book. There should be one in every home. The photographer is very, very good, and his work is so valuable to all animals of the earth. It is high quality, and worth every penny of it's cost. All people, especially young people in school, should have access to this book...
