    easy listening

    I really enjoy the Windham Hill collections. you can sample the sounds of many different artists. I find the music on this particular cd relaxing and really setting the mood for the winter season. I originally bought it on vinyl. also have it on cassette and this is the 2nd cd. the first one came up missing and I had to have it replaced. I would highly recommend it.

    great for easy listeners

    Not overall what i like. I bought it because of two tracks by musicians i like, and those two tracks are fine, but overall i do not care for it. I would call this music "easy listening" and i do not like "easy listening". But for those who do this album would be good for them.

    Winter's Solstice Brings Hope For Longer Days

    The music on this CD has a calming affect on me. I play it early in the morning while sipping mocha and reading email, which helps to start my day out right.

    Beautiful, moving and evocative

    I bought this CD for the unforgettable Engravings II track. It seems to put me in mind of a rainy autumn day at a train station. There are several other striking pieces including Liz Story's "Greensleeves" among others. If you enjoyed A Winter's Soltice II, you'll like this too. Of the Winter's Soltice series, the second installment seems the strongest of the bunch in sheer numbers of soul-stirring songs. This a wonderful addition to any holiday collection.
