I purchaaed 1 of these several mos back. Wanted to see if it would work n i will say hands down if u have a mepro21 this is a must addon. U will never have washout again. Its durable mine has even been submerged in water several times. These things work. N work. I just bought 3 more for my other mepro21s. My advice get u 1 asap.

Fixes the washout issues on the M21. High quality OEM look and feel.
A very well made add-on for your Meprolight M21. Looks and feels like OEM quality. Fixes the well known dark-to-light washout issue with the M21. Knob is a little bulky, but that also makes it very easy to grasp for changing brightness settings. Some people argue that this defeats the purpose of a battery free sight - That isn't true. Sight still works fine when the led is off, so the battery should last a very long time, since the led would be only infrequently in use. If you have the M21 this device is a bargain and great solution to deal with the washout issue. BTW, would also solve the problem if your tritium is dying, but you would then have to manually turn the led on when in the dark. Works well, but not too practical
Clever item. Works really well to light up the sighting point when viewing from darker area into bright light with zero washout...BUT it's large and really sticks out to the side (way wider than AR15 receiver). Seems fairly well made, but a lot of plastic so likely break if knocked which is high risk since sticking out so far or if pulled on hard by hanging up on clothing or webbing (only held by 1 screw). Would be good for outdoor target shooting from under a roof if experiencing washout. I'm going to keep it since not too expensive, and highly effective in the right situation. Might use it in the future at some point. Clever item. A must for the M21 optic.
This little LED eliminates the known issue of shooting from shade into bright daylight. It has no negative effects on NVG and has a wide range of settings. I believe it is currently being fielded by the IDF. The construction is very robust and simple. The installation was about 2 minutes and very easy to follow. Buy it and add to the already impressive capability of this great optic.

An absolute must-have upgrade for your M21
Very well-built, fits the optic like a glove. Multiple settings are very useful for different light conditions, and it completely eliminates any washout issues. No wobble or anything on the actual click wheel, when switching through the illumination settings it snaps between them nicely. If you would hand me an M21 with one of these installed and told me that it came like that out of the factory, I'd believe you in a heartbeat. Very well-built, fits the optic like a glove. Multiple settings are very useful for different light conditions, and it completely eliminates any washout issues. Still good and usable, even with the minor flaw
The index mark is just a little bit off from perfect alignment, but I can live with that. It does help with shooting from dark areas into light. When on, there is a glow visible from the left side that should be dealt with before using. I think some black tape might fix the issue.
