Simple solution
Well the stupid FCC sold off the remaining UHF to the cellular industry, so TV had to move to the VHF band. Mostly it worked around here and when it did not work I got one of these things. Simple to set up - just take out of box and hang on wall, and connect t up the parts according to the directions. Rescan and we are there. Well almost. A few did not come in with the unit in the living room. needed to get it higher and on an outside wall. A 25 foot F type co-ax cable was all which was needed in addition. Now it works super. Don't waste your money
Unless you live next door to a tower or transmitter these things don't work. I'm able to get all my local TV stations in excess of 30 miles and PBS over 80 miles away with my regular roof antenna, a total of approximately 35 channels. When I installed this long range antenna amplifier I was only able to get 3 channels, CBS, ABC and NBC and they would break up. So here I sit with 3 of these things, I was going to give 2 for Christmas gifts but will probably end up throwing them in the trash. It's a bigger hassle to repack them, stand in line at the post office for who knows how long and then wait for my funds to be credited back to my account. Unless you live next door to a tower or transmitter these things don't work. Not unsightliy to look at prettly good
Not as strong as I thought it would be but better than paying appx. $12.00 a month extra for Spectrum tv. I live between Cleveland and Youngstown Ohio. Cant pick up Cleveland channels as antenna is facing Youngstown. But still a good deal.

No Cable... Buy This!
I have Netflix and Hulu. However, I still want local channels. It was really unattractive having old school rabbit ears hanging out next to my big screen tv. I decided to give this antenna a try. It actually gets more channels. PBS has more offerings than I realized. There are Urban Channel offerings, some old-school nostalgia comedy channels, the Game Show Network, even QVC comes in. Also a bunch of Spanish-speaking channels I didn't know existed. I don't watch them, but they probably would be a wonderful discovery for a bunch of people. In addition, it's more attractive. It's out of the way, I never have to worry about trying to adjust anything, and I got the White Version. It's on a light wall, and it's really not that bad of an experience.
