Great sequel to First Rider's Call. The action is a little slow at the beginning, but definately picks up at the end. Many of the characters from the first two books are back, including Captain Mapstone, Alton, King Zachary, Mara, and the Berry sisters, and there are some new characters like Amberhill. The D'Yer wall is falling. There's a new villain who leads Second Empire. Karigan gets a new dimension to her ability. Estora plays a larger role in the novel, and King Zachary is still in love with Karigan while preparing to marry Estora.

I bought this because I was hooked on the previous two Green Rider books. I thought it was supposed to be a trilogy, but it feels like there is alot of room for a fourth book....I was very satisfied with the book, and Kristian did a good job at answering a few questions while creating even more. A must read for Green Rider fans!
