The Model 25 is as good or better than the orginal.
Few companies in America possess as much public recognition as Daisy does. They are masters at marketing and especially when they keep reproducing the winners they have had in the past. The Model 25 is a little hard to load the older you get. I would like to see if the Davy Crockett BB Powder Horn that Daisy made for Walt Disney in 1950 would make it any easier but I can not find one.I wish Daisy would reproduce a lot of the old accessories and guns that they use to make.Few companies in America possess as much public recognition as Daisy does. False advertising
Buyers be ware of buying this BB gun. I ordered it and was VERY DISAPPOINTED HOW SLOW the bb comes out of the barrel. At 3” away it would not go through a thin plastic water bottle. My son has a RedRyder BB gun and it shoots every bit as twice as hard. I called the manufacturer and the lady told me “ the bb travel is 350 a second.” She said I could mail it in but there is a 4-6 weeks before it can be look at by a gun smith. Bottom line JUNK and buy at your own risk. Made in CHINABuyers be ware of buying this BB gun. I ordered it and was VERY DISAPPOINTED HOW SLOW the bb comes out of the barrel. revisiting a legend
In 1964 I received a daisy model 25 for Christmas which made it the most special and memorable Christmas of my childhood. So after seeing it again on eBay I just had to re live that day again. Needless to say I was not disappointed. Just pulling it out of the shipping box and loading and shooting it for the first time was awesome. It arrived on time. In great shape. It shoots straight and hard just like I remember. If you love the sport of air rifles like I do you can't go wrong with buying a legend. And the model 25 is just that. In 1964 I received a daisy model 25 for Christmas which made it the most special and memorable Christmas of my childhood. So after seeing it again on eBay I just had to re live that day again. Needless to say I was not disappointed. Just pulling it out of the shipping box and loading and shooting it for the first time was awesome. It arrived on time. In great shape. It shoots straight and hard just like I remember. If you love the sport of air rifles like I do you can't go wrong with buying a legend. And the model 25 is just that.

New and improved Model 25
The Model 25 is a classic BB rifle. I had one of these as a child and never appreciated what a great gun it was until about 30 years later. It’s large enough for an adult to use, but still small enough for a child. The pump action will build solid marksmanship skills that will last a lifetime. I think the new one is nicer than the old one was.

well implemented copy of classic
this is the gun I remember as better than any lever-action daisy BB rifle back in 50s . this Chinese copy is well implemented, as the reviews suggest. accuracy and power superior to red rider types of guns. nice to see wood, tho rather more child-sized than I recall. My particular gun shot spooky tight pattern (1.5" @ 25') with open-sight no adjustment -- out of the box. As I've found regarding Chinese 'vintage american' acoustic guitars, this gun is every bit as good as that which it pretends to be. fun, and a bargain.this is the gun I remember as better than any lever-action daisy BB rifle back in 50s . this Chinese copy is well implemented, as the reviews suggest. accuracy and power superior to red rider types of guns. nice to see wood, tho rather more child-sized than I recall.
