Good, not perfect.
My first Ellipsis 8 got the "constantly reboots" error. Apparently there is no current fix. My guess is it's a memory issue due to a bad connection. I (and so did the techs at a Verizon store) tried every method of clearing, resetting, restore to factory settings and none of those even did what they are suppose to do. It acts like the memory is frozen. It reboots after about 17 seconds. That is not enough time to copy your data from the unit. You will lose all data, apps and photos so just a reminder to always back up important files on any device. The only solution is to exchange it under warranty. Well I bought my first Ellipsis 8 on eBay with a 30 day return policy. I did not get any extended warranty. It worked okay for 3 months, longer than the resellers 30 day return policy. ... But I didn't buy it to be a phone. It's a better travel size than my older Samsung Galaxy 10.2 and it has broadband so I can pre-pay for 4G access when needed while traveling. The wifi works fine. Battery life is good when you are using it. It does seem to use a lot when on standby. It will drain down completely if left on standby for 1 week. Booting up is rather slow so I prefer to not shut it down every time I use it. Value: depends on where you got it. $260 retail is a lot. $55 on ebay is great. I added a protective case. Tablets and smart phones are so slippery and easy to drop. Those cases make it much easier to hold or place on a table top.

I do not know how this happened but the new tablet (I had one of the exact same model that was damaged) will not allow text messages to be received (feature) and when you touch the screen the response is so slow that you could use a watch to monitor the time between touch and response. Very disappointed indeed and will need to return if I can or buy something else as this particular item does me no god. Works Great!
It's not a tablet for gaming or doing any hardcore social media, but it is terrific to use for work. Email, spreadsheets and Word documents. It is a very stable tablet for that type of work.
