Great kick drum head.
I was worried this head would be too pre muffled, but it actually sounds somewhat open and boomy without the weighted dampener attached, so it would be usable for jazz or fusion, but if you want thump and attack you can use the dampener and maybe muffle your reso head a bit and it’s double kick city. Not quite as loud that way, but easier to control blazing double kick patterns. Not sure what would make a better two ply kick drum head. Good head for rockers like me. Just stroke it.
