Very nice blender ! For being as powerful as it is, it runs rather quietly. Even my son commented about that. It mixes extremely well, having 2 sets of dual blades. I use iit to blend my protein shakes in the morning. I also add organic non-fat milk powder to the jar, fill the 56 ounce jar 2/3 with water, and blend on LOW for 60 seconds. The mix comes out completely blended, no solid floaters. There is also almost no foam, and the powders I use are fairly well known for foaming. With my previous cheapo, $19.99 blender, I'd have to let my blend sit for a long time to let the foam settle. The 2 sets of twin blades are designed very well to be able to mix well without very minimal foaming. The 2 caveats ? 1. The glass plug in the top had a minor crack in it. I run the blender without it in place. I'll look on the internet for a repllacement. 2. After turning the unit off, the "On/Off" switch will NOT turn the unit back on. I was rather bummed out about that until I figured out a "workaround". To get it to "Wake Up", I unplug it from the wall, count to 3, and plug it back in. Voila ! The "On/Off" switch now works. Should I have to do that ? Nope. But I'm not returning this blender because it is an excellent blender. Well built with a glass jar to boot. Makes for extremely easy cleaning. All in all, a most excellent blender, especially at the price. I deducted half a star for the glass plug, and 1 1/2 stars for the "On/Off" switch. I'm not returning it, though. (:;)Read full review

This might be a smaller unit but don't let that fool you, it is mighty in strength. Could probably feed it a tree branch & it would pulverize it! Would recommend this little mighty blender, just wish they could make the glass not so heavy...I still selected it knowing it would have the glass container anyway and also the Frigidaire name...have a dehumidifier and toaster by them as well & very happy with my purchases.

A 1000 watt blender has 600 blending watts. 400 of the watts are heat heat from the motor etc. Look at 1000 watt blenders it states they have 600 blending watts. this is 3 fifths of the total wattage. A 600 watt blender has 360 blending watts. This is fine for light work like making smoothy s. I use a champion juicer for heavy tasks like making nut butters etc. Make the BLENDER last-use it for LIGHT WORK.
