Read several reviews stating the Pixma was hard to set up, and print cartridges were difficult to install. Set-up wasn't a problem if you use your intuition and previous experience. Ink went in fine. Written instructions are tedious and not user friendly. It is pretty noisy on start up. Print quality is good.

The Canon PIXMA MG5722 Wireless All-In-One Inkjet is solid multi-function device with good printing and scanning capabilities. The added convenience of the wireless set up (with the ability to connect to cloud storage and the option to print/scan from mobile devices) make it well worth the price. I purchased this unit primarily for the scan capability and the wireless functionality, and so far I'm happy with it. PROS: Build quality is good for the most part. The ink tanks (four in all) snapped into place securely and the carriage didn't move around or wiggle during installation. The whole thing is pretty much standard plastic, so it has overall decent construction (though, the buttons and navigation controls feel a little loose, which make it seem a bit cheap). The paper tray loads easily from the front, and the paper supports are the standard plastic. The initial set up is fairly easy and straightforward (though there was an issue with the wireless set up, which I'll cover under "CONS"). There is a disc included with the instructions that has some software on it, but it is advised to just download the latest from the Canon site (which is covered in the installation instructions). Once the connection is established, you can easily print/scan to and from cloud storage services (i.e. Google Drive, iCloud, Evernote, etc...), and use multiple computers (Mac and PC), as well as your mobile device (after downloading the corresponding app) over the network. CONS: Aside from the "cheap" feel of the buttons (which cause you to have to handle them fairly gingerly), there can be a little confusion when setting up the wireless connection. Basic set up is pretty simple, but if you're running a more secure network (which in my case means I needed to manually enter the router name and connection password), then things can get a little tricky. The instructions can be a bit confusing on where to enter this info and how to get to the sub-sub-menu to do it. If you know what you're doing you can work it out with a little digging. OVERALL: All that said, the Canon PIXMA MG5722 All-In-One Inkjet is a solid multi-function device at a good price!Read full review

I do not do any elaborate printing. This printer is used for mostly B&W. I have not tried printing pictures yet. It is easy to set up. Works great on the Wi-Fi. I think it is a great deal for the price.

This printer I love so far... but then I don't print a lot... I had a Canon before and like it so I wanted the same brand. Price was good and setting it up was a tad bit nerving for me.. I'm sure for the younger computer person it would be easy... But I did get it done without help of some one else. and all is good...

Needed a new printer and came upon this beauty. Had a HP which was expensive to buy and way too expensive to run, Buying cartridges was like buying a new printer. Bottom line, I'm super glad I purchased a Canon, affordable to buy and operate, and easy to own in every way!
