I absolutely love this machine! For years I have made my own pasta with organic flour and rolled it out on the counter. What a pain to do but I love fresh pasta so much it made it worth it. When I came across this machine I just had to have one and I don't regret it a bit. It is quick, easy and best of all, no mess on my counter. Most of the attachments are easy to clean but the ones with small holes take longer.. That turns out to be worth it as well considering the time savings of not having to kneed, roll and clean the counter twice.

The machine mixed the pasta beautifully. However, it really struggled with doing the extrusion. I had to repeat the extrusion cycle at least five times to get all the dough to go through. I had to take the lid off and manually push bit of dough down into the small channel for an extrusion.

Have had my hand crank pasta machine for about 30 years. Sure it dies good job, but is it easy to use? No! Attaches awkwardly to my counter and requires a balancing act when the pasta comes out. I have a kitchen aide either pasta attachment and it burned the motor out. This machine is solid, well made and mixes and extrudes several different shapes. I've had great results with everything I tried. I'm very very happy. Strongly recommend. Oh and keep it close by-you'll be using it a lot !

This is a terrific machine! It is easily put together and taken apart, easily cleaned and stored. I have only made the smaller of the two sizes so far and it finishes its job in less than the advertised time. The dies are easily stored. My only complaint is that I would have liked a couple of more dies for different pasta shapes, but they can be purchased separately. I had another brand of machine but it broke quickly after I got it and was a storage nightmare. Great job, Phillips company!

This is my fourth pasta maker. The first, if memory serves me correctly, was a Pasta Perfetto, the second and third were really LOUD Takka machines and this Philips Avance machine is another level of quality beyond anything I’ve ever used. It is QUIET compared to my other, noisy, machines and much better engineered. The only suggestion I would have is to pause the machine for 5 minutes , right before the extrusion process , to allow the moisture more time to distribute itself amongst the flour, making a better texture and slightly chewier pasta. Some people have complained about the quality of the pasta but I have no idea what they are doing incorrectly because my experiences with this machine have been consistently perfect. I like the machine so well that I bought the other 10 extrusion discs directly from Philips and they all work flawlessly. I could not possibly be happier with this purchase!Read full review
