I really wanted to like this tablet, I really did. But from the moment I opened it i had this sneaky suspicion she was going to be returned. The tablet looks good and is a good size. It's exactly the size i wanted. The screen resolution is also great and yes it does come with Win.10 so that was good too. But that is where it stopped for me. The keyboard would work intermittently and so would the screen rotation. Detaching the keyboard from the tablet is a pain and when you open and close it it makes a sound like it's catching on something. Irulu if you want to be respected in the Tech World you need to make a product that actually works. Buyers, like me, do not have the time to troubleshoot your faulty devices and ship it back and forth. When I buy something I actually expect it to work, yes I know that is very unrealistic of me. We live in a world of advanced technology and if you, "a tablet making company" cannot even make a functioning tablet you need to liquidate the company and open a restaurant or something. And No I would not Recommend it to a friend.Read full review

Despite owning an Apple iPad since 2010, I remain agnostic in terms of technology, and have reviewed several Android tablets including the entire Kindle Fire range - although this is my first Microsoft tablet. While it may not have quite the same beauty and style of an iPad, for the same price you could buy two of these, and still have enough cash left over for a pair of 64 Gb SD cards. Likewise you could go the Microsoft Surface route, but you’ll need incredibly deep pockets. It’s not really fair to compare, but the newly released Apple iPad Pro costs a massive FIVE TIMES the price of this when you include the “optional” keyboard, and yet they both do the same job. Of course, even if you went the (regular sized) iPad route, you’d need to add a bluetooth keyboard which will add an additional £30/$35 to the price. I've owned several iPad's and tested and reviewed numerous inexpensive (sometimes “cheap and nasty”), 7 and 10 inch tablets, and was impressed by this. As I work in IT, I'm aware just how confusing technology can be, so I'll try to avoid references to jargon, and focus instead on the experience. Quick Summary ========== Although not quite as pin sharp as the iPad Air, the screen is clear, bright and colourful at almost any angle, and a pleasure to watch video or play games on. It is however, extremely reflective, and pretty useless in bright sunlight, but so is just about every other tablet. It has the full size 10 inch screen, and for the money you also get an excellent keyboard and trackpad. Effectively you’re getting a budget laptop that converts nicely into a tablet game player. Web performance over WIFI, is certainly fast enough, and it ran the graphically intense “Asphalt 8” with ease. Sound quality from the pair of rear facing speakers was OK, although the 5 hour battery life is less than you can expect from alternative tablets. Nice to see there’s a bluetooth connection available to power a wireless speaker. The front and rear cameras are good, but again not quite at iPad standard, but storage now starts at 32 Gb, an improvement on the 16Gb starting size of the iPad. You can of course can add a huge (up to 128 Gb) Micro-SD card to store more stuff. In conclusion, for almost any tablet user or as an additional tablet device, this will make a great addition to your household tech. If you’re already familiar with Microsoft Windows 10, it will be an easy transition, and while this won’t completely replace your laptop, it’s a great lightweight laptop/tablet hybrid. Great for taking notes or watching video. Full Review ========= Clearly, the manufacturer has made some compromises, to hit the price point. Here’s the details:- Value for Money — 8/10 ------------------------------ There are some quirks and limitations (e.g. you don’t get the full set of apps you’ll find in the Google Play store or Apple App store), but in value for money terms, it’s hard to beat. Sure, you’ll need to re-load apps from Amazon you already have on your smartphone, (and some won’t be available), there’s an awful lot here for the cash. It also has the benefit that if you’ve an existing Microsoft Windows 10 laptop, you’ll feel immediately at home with this. Design and Build Quality — 8/10 -------------------------------------- Weighing in at 598g it’s 36% heavier than the more expensive Apple alternative and at 9mm thin, it’s not quiet as svelte as the aluminium unibody alternative, but it certainly feels OK to hold. The fact that it also comes with a full keyboard which just snaps into the magnet strip without pairing is a huge bonus. One of my main gripes with the Apple iPad is the delay while the bluetooth connection pairs the keyboard and tablet. The full size 10” screen is a pleasure to watch video, and while it’s not quite light enough to hold in one hand while travelling, you can use the keyboard to turn it into a laptop device. While it doesn’t have the classy aluminium back of the iPad, it’s certainly a step up from some of the generic Android tablets I’ve reviewed. Encased in a dark grey plastic material, it has a pair of plastic grey volume buttons at the top along with a power button while the left edge has a series of ports. Unlike the Apple range, (or indeed nearly every other Android device), this includes a full size USB socket which is great for a camera, smartphone or printer. Also present are a headphone socket, DC Power socket, and a standard micro-USB connection which means pretty much all bases are covered. You even get a micro-HDMI cable to connect it to a TV - although personally I prefer the wireless options provided by the Apple TV or Android Fire TV. (Not sure if either will work with this device)Read full review

Overall I am very happy with this Walknbook, however, cursor loses it's place occasionally and system has to be reset more than I would like. The biggest negative is charging must be done with supplied AC charger (3mm pin type) and can't charge thru USB port like other devices. Battery life is very good (up to 9 hrs) WIFI works very well, keyboard is nice and touch screen works well. Overall a nice tablet with key board and good speed. Excellent value.

The irulu walknbook series of tablets are excellent. Used to own the Walknbook 1, and now I have owned this Walknbook 3 for a few months now. I must say it works great for me. I want a tablet, got it. Want a pc, got it instantly. It has pure Windows windows installed, NOT an RT version. The GDMI port is excellent to connect to tv. I also get to use the USB for charging as well as ac adapter. So I can use a portable usb charger to keep charged up when needed. Audio is great, like that the speakers are on the sides for better hearing and the display is very clear even at an angle. It is fast, and has not let me down yet. I have an SD Card mounted for downloaded apps to go to SD instead of pc storage. Also use the SD to store my OneDrive offline files for instant access! Very pleased with this product. Perfect for what I need. Only thing that didn't care for is thr one dead pixel on screen on arrival. Nothing worth negative star. It always seems to happen to me with every device I have ever purchased like my hp laptop ad roku tv. It's like a given that it would happen to me.Read full review
