Pros- 1. Garmin ease of operation. You do not need to dig the book out and try to figure out how to use it like some other manufacturers. 2. Graphics are very good compared to older units. 3. Unit detaches from mount leaving harnesses in place. 4. Chart is already in it. Cons- 1. Transducer is huge. Be prepared to have difficulty finding a location big enough and out of the way enough to not be a problem. On my boat I had to shim mount over a 1/4 inch to get transducer to track straight with the boat. With standard transducers they are short enough for this not to be a problem but with the length of this transducer it becomes obvious and may require some attention if your location is not 90 degrees to the boat center line. I don't know if it's the product or if it's me, but I've had this out several times now and simply cannot figure out the GPS part of it. The sonar works well, but the GPS seems to have no detail, despite having downloaded the data card ad instructed. Maybe over time I'll figure this thing out, but for now it's complex and just okay.

Great fishfinder/GPS for the price! Installed it just before our last crabbing trip and was very pleased. Depth finder and GPS performed great and helped alot while navigating very shallow channels in Tillamook Bay. Depth finder never seemed to to lose the bottom even at high-speed‘s. GPS was very accurate and never lost signal. Lots of features I never ended up using but it did everything I need and more. Transducer cable was only 20 feet long so I had to buy an extension for my boat. I’m glad I ordered one with the GPS because I would not have had time to get one before our trip if I would have waited until I received it to measure cable.

Great unit for the money. Bright screen, easy to see from different angles. GPS is great (but I know that, being a big fan of Garmin already) and maps are quick to load. The CHIRP sonar scrolls nicely and bottom definition is great. Marks fish accurately. I've only played with the RealVu down imaging but love the picture of the bottom that I'm getting there. Overall, very happy.

This unit was very easy to install. The instructions were easy to read and the gps, sonar and other features work great. I recommend getting one and reading other reviews from people saying Garmin fish finders have a great reputation. Thanks
