A cracking good yarn
A rarity, a very well done Television Movie. Within the confines of the restrictions of the small screen this does a very good job of telling a good story. I've never read the source material , but I understand certain changes have been made , but none that appear detrimental to the overall story. It starts slowly, but that lays the foundation of a cracking good yarn. Veteran British actor James Mason steals the show, but the rest of the cast are of a high quality. This also teaches you to lock your windows and close the curtains on foggy autumn nights !!.A rarity, a very well done Television Movie. Still as good as when it first came out
