    Adjust your expectations, I did...

    This stand is very lightly constructed and, if you're expectations are aligned with reality, you won't be disappointed. I disassembled and reconfigured the two I bought to use with small. powered spot monitors while I'm sitting down. I needed the light construction and three way base and these work perfectly. Once again, they feature plastic extensively in the joints so don't expect them to perform like an Atlas stand. However, for low impact use with a lightweight microphone, they're a good value.

    A great value for light use

    It's a little flimsy for rugged studio or stage use, but serves my purpose for use with an acoustical measurement microphone perfectly. The boom has 3/8-16 male threads and the mic clip includes an adapter - 3/8-16 female to 5/8-27 male threads. The clip is suitable for a mic with a tapered body approximately 1" in diameter.

    Inexpensive, lightweight OK quality

    You get what you pay for-- this mic stand is cheap, and it's passable quality. It does what I want it to, but it's not super rugged or exceptionally stable (sandbag will fix that). Wish it were a little taller, but again, I got what I paid for it :)

    Portable Mic Stand

    I used this stand outdoors ( i perform at Farmers markets) and it has held up just fine and is light enough to carry it in my backpack. for indoor stages I would opt for a heavier mic stand. It is light and it is water proof ( plastic)
