There are very very many timer knobs available at about a half dozen web sites. There are many that are said to be compatible with the dryer I have, and many have reviews that say they are not exact fits or that they break either quickly or very quickly. This knob is an exact match to the one it is replacing. It was not easy or quick to find an exact replacement, but worth the effort.

This is a necessary replacement part for a Hotpoint dryer but you have to replace it much too often for me! For some reason the piece that attaches to the dryer splits causing the consumer to have to replace it if you want to operate your dryer with a knob instead of a pair of pliers. It seems like the part could be made of a stronger material but at least it is readily available for a reasonable price!

On my dryer, the distributor or the retailer glued 2 small zip ties around the original knob connecting tube to hide the crac in the plastic. Lasted just past the warranty period... broke when the steel insert finally snapped. These OEM knobs are perfect, original and exact fit for my Hotpoint 2014 base model. Retailer should have replaced it before selling the dryer.
