Sounds good, loud, decent bass at any volume with no distortion, but with right and left channel drivers on the front (one over the other)the STEREO aspect is missing completely, not sure why they weren't mounted on the sides instead, maybe an idea for the RockShip ll ? Very Sturdy construction and played it at top volume out of the box with charging it for over 4 hours, a few refinements and this could be a real contender. Nice, low end, table top speaker that will also play music from USB thumb drives and micro SD cards.
I bought this speaker to listen to Spanish guitar music out on my tiny screened porch at a low volume, and for the $34 that I spent for it new it does a very good job of that. Acoustic guitar is mostly midrange and this speaker reproduces it well enough. I didn't expect a lot of bass and am happy with the sound. It has two 8w speakers, which when I went to school added up to 16w, not 50w. In the specs, the size is listed as being much smaller than it is. It actually measures 12cm (4.7") in diameter by 24cm (9.5") tall, which is fine for a table top speaker but a little too big to be carried around comfortably without a handle. Both active speakers are pointing forward, but quite a bit of residual sound radiates from the opening around the bottom. If I were someone who wanted a ... I alternate between the two of them, playing my collection of Spanish guitar music from a micro SD card, and would recommend either speaker, if you get them for a good price.

OK quality for the price paid.
The speaker seems to be of decent quality for the price. I am a bit disappointed in the range as I have another rockville device that works fine at the same distance. The signal breaks up as you move around the area of the speaker. Also, I would much rather have a green light indicating full charge instead of the red light shutting off after the unit attains full charge.

Good value -- only one annoying feature
Sound is good, and I'm glad it has both an aux-in port and a USB port. What's annoying is that it has no on/off button. When you're done, you can't simply turn it off. It's "auto turn off after 15 minutes of no music to conserve battery life". Then, after 15 minutes, the loud voice announces that power is off. Makes no sense why the consumer himself can't choose to turn it off.

Great product for the price. Holds up well at high volume. Mid and low volumes loses some of the emersive sound that you get at the higher volume. Bass is good at high volume about average at lower volumes. Overall a great product for the price!
