Thompson Pens are good pens for many an adult coloring book! The ink comes out fairly evenly and the nibs are great! They are a good size and do not clog up or put out too much ink when working with small details! My only caution is do not lose your caps for these pens! One of mine came off in the box and I had a small mess to clean up. The box I was storing the pens in tipped toward the top (nib end) of the pen which a small amount of ink leaked out. So be careful with your pen lids and make sure they are secure if you have small hands or sneaky cats around! Thanks for listing a great set of pens! Have a quality week!

Have had to purchase 4 of these and still haven't finished one normal adult coloring book. The ink is awesome and almost like liquid paint; which is problematic due to how fast it goes. If you plan to purchase expect to purchase quite a few of boxes of 48. Recommend for ink quality alone, however, regular gel pens will last much longer if you can find good colors.

High quality product at a very reasonable price. These pens are just fantastic for art and doodling. The pens come in enough colors that you can create ink art work that looks incredible with a little practice and effort. I have framed several of the pictures I created of butterflies and flowers. Just be careful not to rush what your working on, or you will smear the ink, some of my drawings have taken over a month to finish. Yes, it is ink, but they look really nice if you take your time. Using a contrast of glitter pens along with the metallic ink can give some surprising results,plenty of colors to choose from, and the pens flow nicely. Once in a while a piece of glitter can temporarily plug up the tip, just use a piece of scrap paper to write or scribble on to get it unplugged. Frankly, I didn't know what I was going to get, but I ordered 3 sets, one for me, two for my grandsons. We spent the afternoon coloring and I must say, I LOVE the pens. If you like color, and you like subtle variations and easy application, these 48 pens are for you!
