I bought this to play somewhat FPS games like Pavlov, and super hot, and a lot of other steam games. The steam home was a bit buggy, so I launched steam games straight from my windows home! But what a bargain, the headset fits nice, and blocks out the exterior lighting. It fits to your comfort, and the controllers have both oculus and vive controls combined. It is fast even though I am running on a gtx 1050 gpu, and an intel core i7 cpu. I was reluctant to buy this brand new, as opposed to saving $100 for a pre owned. But buying new allowed me to see the true quality in the display, and the large field of view! Couldn’t have been happier, and all my friends and family have been impressed and enjoyed. You could say this is the evolution of technology at its finest!!! (FYI: vr chat is fairly laggy and buggy on a 1050 gpu, but rec room runs fine) (also keep in mind that I run this on a laptop and not a full pc tower setup)Read full review

For a low price on the headset, it worked well with my laptop. However I had an issue with it after a bit. -The batteries drained rather quick when going several hours into a play session. -The audio will tend to bug out making whatever sound enters any pair of headphones sound like ear-rape. -Disconnecting a pair of headphones will sometimes result in the headset to black out and the game still able to see where I'm going. This issue resulted in quite a bit of restarts on the headset. Other than these issues the equipment works decently.

Pros: -If you want to experience VR but don't have the money for the VIVE, this is a steal. -Decent graphics -Decent unique controllers -Portability is great -Gets the job done for what VR intends -I genuinely had a blast in FO4 and a few other games, blew my mom away. Cons: -Field of View is kinda bad, you can see a lot of black in your peripherals -Vision is blurry unless you look directly into the middle of the view -Fitting it onto my face for it to be "completely" comfortable was a chore -Controller touch pads were very touchy and takes a while to get used to -Last but not least, the tracking cameras.. You're kinda forced to keep your hands out in front of your body for the cameras to track your controllers which is sadly uncomfortable. You find yourself resting your ams at your sides and having the camera lose track of your hands right in the middle of something crucial (FO4).Read full review

All items were received in a box from the manufacturer with the addition of a pack of AA batteries. To my pleasant surprise the package actually arrived early. All the items were undamaged and functioned as they should. My only two qualms (and they are minor) are that a) the trigger on my left controller is already squeaking after 3 sessions and b) the image on the headset can be a little blurry even after adjustment (I have seen in a couple reviews that is just a thing with hp's headset). But I have to say for the experience offered at this price point I would absolutely buy this product again in a heartbeat.

HP should not release to the marker something that was obviously under develop. This VR set field of view is extremely limited. Once you pass the struggle of adjusting the view you can enjoy an interesting set of basic VR applications provided by Microsoft. I was expecting more Immerse reality capability since it has 2 front cameras that can provide stereo vision. It doesn't have ear speaker forcing you to wear even more stuff on your head. I bought at a discount but still find it expensive.
