This airbrush is well-suited for detail work and/or working on smaller surfaces. As with the Revolution, this airbrush works well with the same thinned mixtures of enamels, acrylics and lacquers. If you are need an airbrush to cover extremly large surface areas, you should probably look at the Revolution. If you're airbrushing figures, armor details, smaller ship surfaces, big scale models, etc., and you want precision in your work to minimize touch-ups, then this is the airbrush for you. Like all Iwatas, workmanship is first class. It's a great airbrush, and it's no wonder it is so well liked. The 0.35mm nozzle is about as fine as I would go for general model painting. The HP-CS is pretty much an HP-CR with a different head design, and that difference makes it easier to care for. With the 0.50mm nozzle, I think it would actually be a better choice than the HP-CR for a first airbrush. Amazing working horse for beginners and even more experienced users. It can tackle with almost anything you put it through. Read full review

After many frustrating days waiting, (due to the Royal mail and not Japan post) I finally took delivery or I should say collection of my Iwata eclipse. It looks and feels 100% quality. Top class engineering and it gives a great finish with both enamel and acrylic paints. I would highly recommend this airbrush, especially to a beginner to the hobby. It does everything you would expect of it. If kept clean and with correctly thinned paint it will serve well and for a long time. We'll worth investing in. Also the trigger limiter off an old £15 airbrush fits perfectly so upgrading it for a fraction of the cost.

I've only had this for about 30 days and like using it... however, I don't see a lot of difference between this and my Master Pro from TCP, which was about $45.00 and I have three different needles from TCP and it works just fine. I gave the Iwata 4 stars because it works great too. Wish I had 2 other needles though. I guess time will tell if there's a difference.

When package arrived I was disappointed that the brush shipped was not marked HPCH but just CH.The package was not the same, just a generic plastic box.But the airbrush performs amazingly .It will write as clear and thin as a ballpoint pen or a 2inch spray without making a single adjustment, depending how softly or farther back you pull the trigger. If this holds up ,as it looks and feels like a very well made airbrush,I will be thrilled.

I've used for t shirt painting to fine art, to automotive.everytime the iwata has performed as expected.unlike others that have spit, stuck , and just been of poor quality and a pain to keep operating correctly.iwata is a blessing to the artist by far
