The 1935-S is rarer in mint state and Gem condition than the 1931-S, 1936-S, and 1937-S. Strike is OK for a San Francisco issue though some weakness is sometimes present. Luster is of the grey brilliant type.

I love the buffalo nickel series!
These are among the most beautiful designed American Coins ever minted. In AU condition, they are nice to hang on to throughout the decades! Just think, when they were first minted, they gained you access to bleacher seats in MLB games. What a fantastic era that was! The car fare to the game was probably a nickel also for round trip with a transfer!
