Car seat is of good quality,nice padding, versitile and atractive.Good for infants 20 lbs and over. Attachments and instalation can be a bit tricky, just requires patience--not a degree in engineering.Though not usually atracted to Eddie Bauer products (LL Bean is the way to go) I am impressed with 3 in 1 convertable, besides LL Bean does not make simillar product ! Item is a bit expensive but worth the cost, especially is you care for your childs safety and comfort as I do. As a Registered Nurse I endorse this seat without hesitation. OK, I have to admit I bought this car seat for the good name associated with it and all of the safety features. Good reasons right? Mine is a different color (the Montecito) but still the same carseat. It was pretty easy to install (we started using it when my son was ready for front facing as I was pretty attached to the idea of being able to take a sleeping baby from the car without having to undo him and take him out of a seat). The latch connections make this seat fit very securely and with 3 recline options, my son sits very comfortably. Not too straight up and not too slouched. The key is that the car seat and the seat of the car have to be touching and if you have bucket seats, you can recline them a little more to make the car seat sit at a comfortable angle for the child. The material is nice but be fully prepared for messes. It does not clean easily and holds the smell of juice, cookies or anything else that is spilled in it. I find that a wet/dry vac over it a couple times works though. The biggest frustration I have with this carseat are the straps below the chest plate. They CONSTANTLY get twisted. This is considered unsafe but I cannot find a way to keep them from twisting. Every time I put my child in this seat, I have to fold, bend and fanaggle the straps back to their position before tightening. It is extremely aggravating, especially for something that is considered unsafe. All in all, this seat has worked well for our family. This is the BEST car seat I have had or dealt with and the price is amazing! I had my two year old granddaughter sit in it to make the adjustments and SHE loves it....way more comfortable for her, per her opinion. Straps, seatbelt positioning, and anchors were simple, intuitive, and easy for one person to do. The best part is not having to change car seats as the child grows. My granddaughter will be fine with it until she no longer even needs a booster seat, but I AM hoping for another grandchild at some point, and with this seat, I’m prepared.

Maybe it is just me but this seemed very complicated to get in, my son in law has one and he struggled with this one. I finally got it in but the rear facing position seems to wobble so I used the one adjustment belt on the car seat to wrap around the front passenger head rest to secure more. I think it is ok. It was a great value and everything was as it should be it may have been my back seat I don't know. I have 2 car seats in the back this one is for my 18 month old grand daughter and the old one will be the new born. I would recommend this to anyone looking to buy a good car seat that will grow with the child.

Beautiful car seat. Newborn to infant to toddler. Grows with child. Nice details, neutral grey cloth with burgundy neck support. Outerblack trim finished the classic look. Neutral colors are great because they don't absorb heat. Adequate padding ( wish car seat had more padding; but is padded to industry standards) just purchased for grandson due in September. As a foster parent have used a lot of different car seats- Eddie Bauer remains a favorite.
