Pros:: The screen is beautiful, RGBs are mesmerizing, and the build feels strong for plastic. The speakers are very loud for a laptop with a nice stereo feeling. It runs Windows well, and the NVME drive is all it is meant to be. The 1660ti smokes all of the 1050ti builds out there (as it should) but at a similar price point. Neutrals:: it comes single channel 8gb of ram. It is noticeable when you are gaming and anything else. First purchase should be a second 2666mhz stick of 8gb ram. At dual channel, the laptop becomes a beast. Slowed down only by its second neutral... the i5 processor. Dont get me wrong, the i5 is plenty capable, but as an unchangeable item, it will lock this baby in the middle of the road for performance. Next is the cooling, while it is big and impressive, the cooler is also placed oddly. Vent and intake ports are next to eachother. It cools well enough, this isnt a bad feature, just something I would have done a little differently. Lastly, there is no camera. I am not mad... it is just an odd feature to drop when streaming is so popular. Bads:: No thunderbolt plug. I think this should be about standard now days. ASUS ROG interface is confusingly simple. Most gamers are techies and having this simple app is more frustratingly limiting then helpful. The RGB keys, seemingly, can not be individually colored. That made me a little sad. Until upgraded to 16gb, it seemed rather buggy out of the box. Now that I am dual channel, it seems to run smooth as butter. Overall:: stylish, edgy, sexy, and strong. This laptop for the price point is great! I would suggest this one over the alternative similar product from ASUS with the i7, but only a 1550 GPU. They are roughly the same price point, but in actual gaming, I'll toss the i7 for an i5 anyday that it includes a better GPU.
