It is almost the perfect smart phone. Fast, battery lasts a whole day, good cameras and good overall hardware (processor speed, features, etc.). The software needs some help. Some features are really great like the camera user interface which is very user friendly. However, there are some other areas where Huawei/Honor either didn't put the right set of features (accessing shortcuts and notifications are both a little weird - but at least in the case of notifications - they are all lumped in one screen) that was done on purpose to reduce battery consumption, something that the manufacturer was really conscious about and it is a good thing). The screen is nice but not the best (my previous phone was an LG G4 which bootlooped. The G4's screen was far superior both in resolution and color accuracy). Lack of OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) really shows - videos are shaky with both front and back cameras. Also, they decided to tweak/enhance the colors in photos almost to an unrealistic level. There was no need to do that as the cameras are really great and capable on their own of great detail. So in my opinion this was a poor choice from the designers of the software. The lack of OIS cannot be fixed but most other aspects of the software can be improved over time. I am hoping that Honor takes them into account and makes them better. I don't shoot a lot of video so I can leave without OIS but if you really use your phone for video consider a different brand or model. Read full review

Phone is fast. Screen is brighter than any LCD I've used although still not great in bright sunlight. I'm a light user, but I could easily get 48 hours if I didn't charge overnight. I probably have the screen on for 45-60 mins a day and watch like 25 mins of netflix in bed and otherwise just texting or web browsing. For comparison, I'm coming from a nexus 5x which if I didn't charge it overnight would be near dead the next morning. If I forget to charge this, it's still at like 65% come morning. It charges quickly. Maybe not quite as fast as the 5x but I would imagine 0% to 100% would take about two hours. Call quality is fantastic via t-mobile with HD voice. WiFi reception is average for a smartphone... not near as good as my macbook but on par with previous cell phones. Speaker is just okay. Not very loud but relatively clear. Build quality is WAAAY better than any sub $400 phone I've ever seen. It looks a lot like the iPhone, which is kinda shady, but it feels solid and premium in your hands and looks nice as well. Buttons are firm and seem like they'll last. Camera is on par with the best cameras in its class (5x is maybe a little better, but that's the best camera I've seen on a device for that price). Fingerprint scanner is insanely fast and built in button is pretty useful, allowing you to do things like press the fingerprint scanner to turn on and off the flashlight. You can also use gestures to do things like open your notifications, but I was doing it by accident too often so I disabled it. EMUI 5 is fine. It's not far off stock android. There are no spam apps but you can't remove the built in apps like mail. Knuckle gestures seem like a gimmick to me, and I plan to turn them off. I really like the built in weather app as it's fast and clean, so I kept that along with the weather widget it comes with. Huawei Health is Huawei's answer to Google fit, and it's fine. UI is nice and clean although Google Fit seemed more feature rich. Phone shipped with EMUI 4 and Android 6 but updated to EMUI 5 and Android 7 as soon as it connected to wifi. EMUI has two levels of battery savings too, which give you an estimate of how much time you'll get with your remaining battery. Haven't tried them, but they seem useful. One annoying quality of the power manager is you get these pesky notifications from the system telling you "app X is using a lot of power... DO you want to close it?" Or something along those lines. They come up every few hours. This is annoying but I believe you can block the notifications if you get sick of them.Read full review

Awesome item! I've owned the phone before and got rid of it (which was stupid of me) but now I've got it again. It is an amazing phone w/great camera! It's also a decent and convenient size in a time where it seems all the new phones are just getting bigger and bigger! So happy with my purchase.

This was a new-other purchase and has turned out to be a really good phone for the money. Good camera, nice touch, snappy. It was in new condition ready to setup and use. Added the sim and micro-sd started using so simple!

This phone came in a condition better than I expected. The only negative is that I had to use my own sim tray opener it didn't come with one... other than that this is an extremely good buy for anyone!
