The laptop came with a nice Sleeve, and the Charger. Nothing fancy just a big Cardboard box packed with shipping air bag things. Laptop started right up and had some instructions that also came with it. It’s only day two as of this review but gta 5 plays great on high settings and I also have Outer Worlds running on high with no problem. Don’t expect to run AAA games on ultra with this thing. It gets the job done. Also, extremely fast load times with the 500gb ssd. Overall Great price for a nice sleek Gaming Laptop.

Update: Random keyboard Keys stopped working at random times 11 months after purchase Pros: -Performance, running games off an external 2.5" 5400 RPM HDD without issue via USB 3.1 interface -SSDe is faster than the SSD in my previous laptop, literally starts up in seconds -Very lightweight, did not expect it to be this light -Beautiful chassis that feels really nice to touch -IPS display is vibrant and crisp -Large cooling fans and Nitro app allows full control of fans -Very responsive mousepad -Came with a free laptop cover Cons: -Multiple Keyboard issues: Button layouts are unorthodox, power button is right-top most button and part of numpad, numlock button is shifted one to the right and is replaced by the "Nitro App" button which has a big "N" on it, makes things confusing; no independent volume keys; No capslock/numlock/scroll lock toggle lights; backlight of keys is not as bright as I would like; Backlight also has a rather fast timeout (after checking online only way to be able to change this is with a bios update which is very cumbersome); some of the backlight LED's glare directly into eyes because the keys are a bit high from most of the normal angles someone would sit at; -Power cable plugs into the middle in right side which interferes with using a mouse a lot for right handed people -Speakers are at bottom which has a muffling effect on the sound, but still gets decent sound quality -Camera resolution is very poor for modern day Other Notes: -Battery life is 3 hours give or take, likely due to IPS display requiring more power than LED display -Power/Battery LED's on right side which is unusual but maybe some people might like this Overall: -Would definitely recommend, you eventually get used to the keyboard and the performance is great for the priceRead full review

Bought this 1.5 years ago, keyboard arrived dead, had to disassemble it on day 1 to get it working. I'm writing this review on it so I did get it fixed. The issue is that they mostly put the guts of the 15in model in the 17in chassis, so they had to extend some connections, the extender and the socket they used for the keyboard ribbon is not great, so it disconnects on its own if you look at it funny (I found that if the laptop gets too hot or if you commute a lot it will disconnect far more frequently). The easiest fix is to literally just put hot glue on 2 plastic parts near where the keyboard ribbon meets the motherboard, but seeing that there are alarmingly recent reviews saying it still sucks, they have absolutely no plans to fix the issue, which is sad. Thermals are also not great, this model has fewer heatpipes and smaller coldplates than the 1660/ti version and it REALLY could use those, you'll have to use a cooling pad and clean the heatsink every couple months or even WEEKS in my experience,Read full review

Firstly the HUGE design flaw: Speakers are on the bottom. I mean seriously? On a massive-with tons of room-desktop replacement 17.3" laptop there's no room for speakers on top? Needless to say sound volume overwhelmingly suffers. Dell is putting 4 speakers and a sub woofer in their 17's and all they can fit in this one is 2 sub-par speakers on the bottom? ......Secondly the fact that it is refurbished isn't necessarily an issue, however, I am convinced Acer doesn't test these. First unit I received was defective. The monitor had no back-light; just a black screen. The replacement cost me an additional $112.75. I was astonished when the second unit I received arrived without an a/c adapter and an enter key that works only when it wants to (try to get used to that.) Why 2 stars: the pros: very bright IPS monitor (assuming the back-light works), keyboard back-light times out (which is nice for nighttime film watching, but not so nice for nighttime typing.) ....Additional notes: Battery life is pretty terrible, it is pretty thick (but I assume it would do a much better job keeping that 1650 cool than a thin 15.6 but I'll never know because the second unit is also going back.) Acer doesn't even manufacture their own laptops (like most OEM's) but who knows? Maybe they'd be better at it than their ODM.Read full review

Love it. Not only did it arrive more than a week before its estimated time, but it's quite good for game development, GTA V and more demanding games. I am still testing it out, but multitasking (disabling a myriad of bloatwares while installing my normal apps) has been a breeze with no hiccups. Fan control is top-notch, it comes with a software- Nitro. The screen is HUGE. This'll be extremely useful for creative projects. I feel like I'm being cradled by the LCD display. A few minuses for me are the bloatware, as stated previously, but if you know how to get into your computer (or google for that matter), you can clean it right out. I also recommend Winaero Tweaker for disabling annoying built-in functions like WINDOWS WEB SEARCH. Seriously, it's just annoying when I am looking for something on my computer and get suggestions from Bing.... Norton comes with the fresh install. Disabled it right away. If you care about this type of thing, the speakers are on the bottom and there are only 3 USB ports total. Read full review
